Pen is Mightier than Sword

There is a famous saying that the role of pen is mightier than that of the sword. But unfortunately there are people who believe that the use of force is necessary.

The pen expresses a public opinion. It stands for the press, literature, news-papers, books, and other writings. The purpose of all writing is to connect one’s mind with another, to persuade the reader to take up the view on a particular subject in mind. We may, therefore, say that the pen stands for the peaceful means by which a person is persuaded to accept the views which the writer holds. Writing is everywhere in your life, and having this skill greatly improves how you live. Your opinions, views and thoughts can be seen and expressed all because of writing/pen

But the sword on the other hand, stands for force. It forces views on others. If they do not accept those views they must be challenged. The sword, therefore, implies force, not reason.Whereas a sword can only change a person’s opinion by force and then often only results in the person’s death.

This was the general overview of the terms i-e “sword” and “pen” but in my point of view pen is mightier than sword because through sword people can be killed this term can be taken as constructive and destructive means too. So I think written material like books or poetry has more influence than fighting or war as it may cause death of a person. It can be understand from it that ideas are more effective than violence.
